Pre-release information; the final game may differ. Based on the September 2026 demo and cited public material. We have not played this build; its exact build number is unconfirmed.
Three numbers that answer different questions
| Evidence | What it tells you | What it cannot prove |
|---|---|---|
| Developer interview: 30–40 hours | Producer Keisuke Nakashima’s intended main-story scale. | Your personal completion time, or a 100% completion average. |
| Joseph Repko’s demo: more than four hours | One author’s experience of the playable opening. | How every later chapter scales. |
| Fuzzfinger’s demo: about six hours | One author’s run including optional activities. | A fixed runtime for every demo player. |
The development target comes from GAME Watch’s June 10 original interview.[1] The demo reports are attributed to Joseph Repko on September 6 and Fuzzfinger’s September article, respectively.[2][3] These are different kinds of evidence, so averaging them together would not produce a useful number.
Plan your evenings
Main-story estimate only
Method: round up 30 ÷ session hours and 40 ÷ session hours. This allocates the developer’s estimate; it does not predict your performance. JavaScript runs locally in your browser and sends no entries anywhere.
At one hour each evening, the same target becomes 30–40 sessions. At two hours, it becomes 15–20. Keep some flexibility for optional activities or a fight that takes another attempt. The calculator deliberately leaves completionist time unfilled rather than inventing it.

Budget by your play style
You mainly want the story: use the 30–40-hour target as a loose starting point, then adjust with your own demo pace. Do not multiply the opening chapter’s hours by a guessed chapter count.
You enjoy training and exploration: reserve extra sessions without pretending their number is known. Decide whether a new mastery reward is part of the fun or whether you are simply delaying the next story objective.
You have a narrow window before another game: use the free opening as a pacing check. A four-hour demo report is not a promise that your session can finish it, so stop at a convenient save rather than trying to match another author.
What remains unverified
There is no final-release player sample behind this page. Shorter campaign numbers circulated with reports of an early Famitsu review, but we have not inspected that original full-game review and do not treat those numbers as confirmed here. An eventual player median, an exhaustive run and a developer’s intended story length should remain separate entries.
